Cast in a 100% sterling silver, in handmade mould made from a cuttlebone.
Cast flat and then manipulated into a ring band.
This one of a kind ring was a real challenge, and if asked, I would have said not possible.
Cuttlebone casting ancient technique dates back hundreds of years.
Hand carved moulds that create a one off design, that also captures the beautiful organic waves that are the natural structure of the cuttlebone.
All my cuttlebones are found by me on uk beaches, a by product of the sea, nothing is harmed during this process.
At 14 grams this ring has a beautifully solid feel.
